The Cooking Fire Theatre Festival is a week-long performance extravaganza celebrating theatre, food and public space in Toronto’s Dufferin Grove Park.
Using the park’s celebrated community bake ovens, the festival combines each evening’s performance with an affordable organic meal made with fresh, local, organic ingredients. This year’s festivals hosts companies from Toronto, Halifax, Chicago and Bellingham.

The cooking fire theatre festival is awesome.
When I went on thursday night I dined on incredible quesidillas, saw a couple if intelligent and inventive shows, took a break FOR SOME HOMEMADE ICE CREAM SANDWICHES, before continuing to be engaged by some very different and inventive works that had been creeted specifically for the venue and occasion. i watched with a wide spectrum of people of all ages who live in my community.
end stop.
